UNIZIK SENATE ELECTS NEW DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR

A new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) has been elected by the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Senate. She is Dame Prof. Carol Arinze-Umobi. Prof. Arinze-Umobi, a professor of Family Laws, was until her appointment the Director of Confucius Institute in the University.

She had held other positions such as Director of Early warning (Conflict resolution) and Chairperson (Tetfund Implementation Committee).
Prof. Arinze-Umobi is coming to the position with a wealth of experience garnered over the years in various capacities within and outside the university.
This position is for a two year tenure subject to further renewal for another two years.
In her acceptance remark, the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration thanked the Senators for the opportunity and pledged her total loyalty to the University in the discharge of any assignment given to her by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Joseph E. Ahaneku, FAS
